01Commercial licence overview

On purchase, FIDE Labs grants your organisation a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, modify, and deploy the source code as branded applications.

02What's included

You receive the complete repository — frontend, backend, database schema and migrations, theme extension, tests, and deployment configuration — together with the documentation, video tutorials, and deployment guide.

03What's not included

The current release focuses on delivering a production-ready, white-label Shopify source code package with everything required to rebrand, customize, deploy, and launch.

04Licence scope

The licence is granted per organisation, with unlimited developer seats and no cap on the number of branded deployments.

05Permitted usage

You may:

• Deploy the application under your own brand, for your own company.
• Run up to three non-production environments for development, staging, or testing.
• Modify, extend, and integrate the code with your own systems.
• Use the application commercially within your own business.
• Submit branded builds to the Shopify App Store under your own developer account.

06Restrictions

You may not:

• Resell or redistribute the source code itself, in whole or substantial part.
• Repackage the codebase as a competing source-code or boilerplate product.
• Publish the repository publicly or to any open-source platform.
• Transfer the licence to another organisation without written consent.

07Branding rights

Every branding surface is yours: app name, logo, favicon, colours, typography, email templates, dashboard, and storefront presentation. No FIDE Labs attribution is required in the user interface of applications you deploy.

08Source code access

Access is delivered as an invitation to the private repository. There are no compiled bundles, no restricted modules, and no runtime licence checks.

09Ownership

FIDE Labs retains copyright in the original codebase. You own the modifications, extensions, and branded configurations you create, and you own all data your deployments generate.

10Updates and support

Licence holders receive ongoing releases: new features, dependency upgrades, and security patches, with upgrade notes where migrations are required. Updates are included for the life of the licence at no extra cost.

Every licence includes email support with a 24-hour response SLA on business days, covering setup, configuration, deployment, and defects in the original code. Custom feature development is quoted separately.

11Licence termination

The licence terminates only on material breach of the restrictions above, and only after written notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy. Applications already deployed to your clients before termination may continue to operate.
